With a focus on innovation and customer-centric solutions, he is expanding ShareVault’s capabilities to meet the highest security and compliance standards across finance services, legal, and life sciences industries. Steven’s strategic vision for ShareVault is to help empower people and organizations worldwide to confidently share and protect sensitive information while adapting to evolving data protection challenges, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring successful business outcomes.

Prior to becoming CEO, Steven Monterroso served as ShareVault’s Chief Revenue Officer, where he doubled revenue and expanded the company into new markets. He also co-founded Celmora, advising sales and marketing leaders on growth strategies. As Head of Sales and Customer Success at Plethora, he scaled customer-facing operations and drove significant revenue growth. Steven has also held key leadership roles at 8×8, Inc., BlueJeans Network (acquired by Verizon), and Biba Systems (acquired by Amazon), where he consistently delivered operational success and led strategic initiatives that increased market share.

My focus is making sure our technology helps you work faster, stay compliant, and confidently navigate high-stakes processes like M&A, licensing, fundraising, and due diligence.

With over 30 years of experience in product management and technology marketing, I’ve built tools that solve real business problems. Prior to co-founding ShareVault, I served as Director of Marketing at GE Homeland Security and was a founding member of two tech startups, including Isys Controls, which was acquired by Cognex with a 25x return to investors.

Whether it’s secure document sharing, seamless permission controls, or advanced features like AI-powered redaction, my goal is to deliver a platform that removes complexity from your workflow and keeps your focus on the deal—not the data room. Every decision we make is with your security, speed, and success in mind.

I hold an MBA from INSEAD and a BS in Engineering from UC Berkeley. At the end of the day, I’m passionate about building practical, intuitive tools that help you move your business forward—with confidence.

As Chief Information Security Officer at ShareVault, I lead our efforts to ensure your data is protected with enterprise-grade security protocols that meet the demands of high-stakes transactions like M&A, fundraising, legal proceedings, and IP management.

With over 23 years of experience in information security, I’ve helped secure mission-critical environments for organizations such as NASA, SRI International, Intira, Netigy, and ESAAG. I hold a CISSP certification and bring a deep understanding of how to build and maintain trust through rigorous security standards, cutting-edge technology, and clearly defined policies and procedures.

At ShareVault, I oversee the implementation of security controls, guide the development of secure systems, and ensure compliance frameworks are not just met—but exceeded—so you can move through diligence and deal execution with total confidence. Every control we put in place is designed to minimize risk and protect what matters most: your data, your reputation, and your outcomes.

I earned my BA from the University of Texas at Austin and my MA from Texas Tech University. My commitment is to give you peace of mind—so you can focus on your goals, not your vulnerabilities.

As VP of Engineering at ShareVault, I lead the technology strategy behind the secure, high-performance platform you rely on for managing sensitive deals, including M&A, fundraising, and regulatory workflows. My focus is on delivering a seamless user experience through AI integration, cloud transformation, and resilient architecture—so you can move fast without compromising on security.

With 18+ years in software development—especially in banking and insurance—I’ve built systems that power high-stakes transactions. At Allianz, I led digital transformation and AI-driven automation projects; at Santander Consumer Bank, I developed secure applications for online lending and transaction processing.

I hold a Master’s in Information Technologies and Management, have deep expertise in Java, C++, Python, embedded systems, and blockchain, and am the named inventor on a pending patent for blockchain-based data encryption. My goal is to ensure the technology behind ShareVault keeps your deals moving securely and efficiently.

Whether you’re navigating an M&A deal, preparing for due diligence, or scaling your business, my focus is on making sure ShareVault is financially positioned to support you at every stage.

With over 15 years of experience in finance, I’ve worked across self-funded, venture-backed, and private equity-owned companies—giving me a unique perspective on the financial realities behind strategic transactions. I’ve led global finance teams, overseen investor relations, and helped drive high-impact M&A, including leading the acquisition strategy at Verify and playing a key role in Serenova’s acquisition.

I specialize in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), SaaS metrics, modeling, and strategic planning—all the behind-the-scenes essentials that ensure ShareVault operates efficiently and scales with your needs. Whether you’re a dealmaker, investor, or executive, I make sure the numbers—and the strategy—align with your goals.

Originally from the UK, I spent 15 years in Austin, Texas, and now call Raleigh, North Carolina home. No matter where I am, my focus is helping teams like yours move confidently through high-stakes transactions with the financial clarity and trust you deserve.
